Class Descriptions & Prices

At this time, it’s best to call ahead to ensure there is room in the classes below as class-size is limited to 10 people only (808-765-4144 or Linde at 808-937-9944). Please see our COVID-19 page for the steps we are taking to keep everyone at Hoʻo Hui safe and healthy.

Due to the rise in expenses to uphold pandemic safety protocols, in order to continue giving you quality classes and experiences at Hoʻo Hui, please note there is an additional minimum $3 room fee, separate from the class price. This is to help offset teachers’ costs to rent the studio, and our donation box is located at the front door. We appreciate your understanding during this time.

We’re currently working on a new Hoʻo Hui class/workshop/event schedule – check back for updates and for new teacher backgrounds.

The MELT Method is a simple self-treatment technique that reduces chronic pain and helps you stay healthy, youthful, and active for a lifetime. Ten minutes of MELT three times a week is all you need to reduce the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living. This revolutionary approach is backed by the latest science and acclaimed by tens of thousands of devoted MELTers around the world! New research has revealed the missing link to pain-free living: a balanced nervous system and healthy connective tissue. These two components work together to provide your body architectural support and optimal mind-body communication. Manual therapist and connective tissue specialist Sue Hitzmann has transformed groundbreaking neurofascial science and hands-on therapies into a one-of-a-kind treatment method called MELT. Using specialized techniques, a soft body roller, and three small balls, MELT rehydrates the connective tissue, rebalances the nervous system, and restores space to compressed joints.

Voice Yoga

When: 1st Sundays AND 3rd Saturdays of the month: 10:00am – 11:30am

Voice Yoga is a powerful modality of self healing, combining ancient technique of Yoga and breath work  with classical and modern singing exercises. Led by an international singer and Yogi, Daysea Ola Sangels this new method is designed to awaken your voice, body and spirit. In Voice Yoga we use the voice as a healing tool for both the mind and the body. We ‘sing’ to the body, into places that need shifting. We use the vibration of our own sound to re-program our body into it’s optimum function, releasing endorphins, re-aligning and re-awakening our energies.

Daysea created Voice Yoga as a new self-healing practice, where you learn to make and sustain sound and therefore ‘sing’ while engaging your body in ancient Asana poses from the Yoga tradition, Qigong and dance. It is a practice that opens up your voice, developing your self expression and confidence.
