With a blend of fitness, movement, and bodywork you will gain sensitivity, awareness, and greater access to your movement potential. Gravity will be approached as an element we are designed to move in collaboration with, rather than as a force that acts upon us. You will navigate your own physiology. You will learn tools to bring your body into an alignment and awareness that supports your daily life. It is applicable to all of your activities – sport, daily living and work, social interaction, being.

Standing Meditation Workshop

Facilitator: Patrick Kanahele

This is one of the foundational practices of the internal arts (Taichi Hsingi Baqua). In this practice, one holds certain postures developed by the masters of these arts in stillness. The mystery of this practice is discovered and rediscovered by each generation and individual that pursues this art. This workshop consists of holding different postures for lengths of time and stretching. There is very little talking. Some tangible skills acquired in the practice are a deep concentration and the ability to stand strongly in the face of the storm, increased movement of chi through the body, and quietude.
